UnLondon General Meeting
UnLondon has always been an member driven organization, and the current Board of Directors has felt that UnLondon demonstrates the potential that exists through collaborative, meritocratic, decision making.
Part of the decision making takes place at Annual General Meetings (AGM) and its now time for UnLondon to hold our second one. It will take place this month, on April 17th, at the UnLab (Convergence Centre at the UWO Research Park) starting at 7 pm.
There are a number of items to be discussed at the AGM, and an official agenda will be posted and circulated a week before the meeting.
However, the biggest item is the selection of a new Board of Directors.
When the organization was formed, the current Board of Adam Caplan, Bill Deys, and Titus Ferguson, always understood that our role would be a transitional one – holding positions until such a time as new directors could be found. That time has come and so, we are officially opening the nomination process.
If you are interested in helping to set the strategic direction of UnLondon over the next two years then please send brief email of intention to board@unlondon.ca
These nominations will be made public and the official selection made at the AGM on April 17th. UnLondon is looking for a either 2 or 4 individuals with a varied set of skills to round out the organization.
Board duties with UnLondon are very basic and these opening will provide individuals with an opportunity to develop and influence the growing “un philosophy” around London and Southwestern Ontario.
We look forward to this next stage of the organization and hope to see many of you on the 17th
